| Lawn Maint / Lawn Care / DIY | Contact BHTS Desi Group! | +1 xxx xxx xxxx | DIY Lawn Maintenance for the best results! Following recepie is tried and trusted by DIYers! 1) April early to mid- Prodiame >>> 2 of my go to herbicides are tenacity and prodiamine. Prodiamine is a pre emergent .. very effective in controlling crabgrass >>> Tenacity is a broad range herbicide .. and can be applied together with new seed >>> Over Seeding & Aeration: Once in spring without aeration and once in fall with aeration 2) April mid - end one solid nitrogen shot, urea or amm. Sulphate 3) Dethatch before the nitrogen shot (preferably) 4) Monthly milorganite. Cut grass atleast 3 inch in peak summer months. Once a month or as needed Tenacity. 5) Sept after labor day .. get on back on the nitrogen routine.. once a month or every 21 days. >>> Over seeding during fall with aeration Additional Tips: >> In addition use a lot of Milorganite fertilizer - almost ever month. Its organic and slow release so very forgiving >> use liquid Chelated Iron twice in the season >> Also, you can use Ammonium Sulphate in limited quantities.. its high nitrogen content .. so dont use in peak summer and also carefully control quantities or you will burn your lawn. >> Follow this regimen .. and you will have a better lawn than any company would do for you. Also much cheaper. >> Water regularly (THis is a must) .. especially in summer months. >> Add urea once a month >> aerate every fall >> If necessary, condut a soil test (...lawn was deficient in sulphur and hence the switch to ammonium sulphate) |
